Folly Farm is the ideal destination for a rainy day! You might not be able to visit any animals without getting wet but once you’re inside the barn, you’ll be able to stay dry whilst seeing an touching some of their best-loved animals! Aside from visiting the animals, there are plenty of funfair ride to play on. There’s also soft play and indoor play for children of all ages. World of Country Life have loads of indoor activities! If cars are what your children are interested in, go and see one of the South West’s largest collections of massive steam engines, immaculate vintage cars and vehicles! Or, maybe you want to visit the pirate ship. Go and have an adventure on board the giant pirate ship! It’s one of their most popular undercover areas! (And there’s picnic tables too so the grown-ups can enjoy a cuppa from the Tractor Takeaway) Don’t leave without visiting ‘Appy Angus, the park mascot. He’s in the Barnyard Theatre every day from 2pm so pay him a visit!
Wookey Hole caves are amongst the most impressive show caves in Europe. If the caves alone don’t encourage you to visit, they’re got plenty more activities to take part in! Why don’t you visit the 4D Cinema to see Ice Age or even watch a live circus show! But, make sure you don’t leave without visiting the animatronic dinosaurs! If you’re looking for some indoor fun for the whole family, Milky Way Adventure Park is the answer! Go wild in the indoor play area with assault courses and slides built for adults and children. Kick back and watch amazing live shows, as well as fantastic displays from the North Devon Bird of Prey Centre.
