Opening Hours

Shaldon Wildlife Trust is set in an acre of woodland garden above the attractive coastal village of Shaldon. They look after, and help preserve some of the rarest and most endangered animals in the world.

During the day, Shaldon’s keepers will be on hand to give public talks about some of the animals at their feeding times. You’ll be able to learn about the family groups at the zoo as well as learning about the work Shaldon Zoo do to support their cousins in the wild.

Ever wanted to see some of the world’s endangered night time primates? Well look no further! See the fascinating behaviours of animal that are rarely seen such as the smallest member of the lemur family, the smallest hoofed animal in the world, the largest rodent in Madagascar and three species of Loris; possibly one of the most adorable of all primates.

Shaldon Zoo has experiences to purchase including being a keeper for a day, meeting the meerkats and lemur liaison.
