Take a walk back in time down memory lane and explore the Victorian street, call in at the Game Keeper’s Cottage, drop into the dress shop, stop off at the garage or pop into the pub – all featuring memorabilia from years gone by. The Hall of Transport houses one of the largest collection of vintage vehicles, motorcyles and steam engines in the South West including the Charabanc used for filming Downton Abbey and the Daimler featured in Mr Selfridge and Parade’s End! Take a break with a nice cup of tea and a home cooked meal in Farmer Lee’s Food Barn or enjoy some tasty bites from the Tractor take-away. There are tons of indoor and outdoor picnic seating, no one goes hungry there! The team are making an effort to be more environmentally friendly, so you’ll find that they’ve replaced all the takeaway containers, coffee cups, lids, straws and cutlery with compostable alternatives, so you can enjoy a treat without feeling guilty!
As well as a daily programme of activities* there are many different play areas including ‘Appy Angus soft play areas, a giant air bouncer, slides, electric cars, trampolines, a full size pirate ship, adventure playground brand new for 2020 Farmer Ninja warrior course and during the Summer holidays a brand new Maize Maze! The younger members of the family will love the adventure playground, where you can find slides, trampolines, soft play bouncy castles and new for Summer 2019 – a Family Puzzle Pen.
World of Country Life pride themselves on being accessible, making sure that every one of their visitors has a fantastic time. There are easily accessible attractions with wide paved paths and wheelchairs available for loan free of charge. Staff are also on hand throughout the park to assist you should you need any help or information about the accessibility about any of the areas. Guide and Service dogs are welcome into the park and for all other dogs, the team can recommend a great dog sitter right on the doorstep.
